Booking & Events
Q: How do I book a lifeguard?
A: You can book directly through our website form or by emailing booking@eventguardpro.com. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a booking agreement with all event details.
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: At least 2 weeks in advance is recommended. Last-minute bookings may be accepted depending on guard availability.
Q: What is your minimum booking?
A: The minimum is 3 hours, with additional time available in 30-minute increments.
Q: Can I extend the booking during the event?
A: Yes, as long as the guard is available. Overtime is billed after the event.
Q: How many lifeguards do I need?
A: We recommend 1 lifeguard per 25 swimmers, depending on age and pool size. Alcohol, night events, or large pools may require additional guards.
Q: Can I request the same guard for repeat events?
A: Absolutely. We try to honor repeat requests whenever schedules allow.
Insurance & Liability
Q: Are your lifeguards insured?
A: Yes. EventGuard Pro carries general liability, professional liability, and workers’ compensation insurance.
Q: Why does insurance matter?
A: If you hire an uninsured guard and an accident occurs, you may be held liable. Our coverage protects hosts, guests, and staff.
Q: Does my homeowners’ insurance cover lifeguards?
A: Typically no. Hiring EventGuard Pro closes this gap and provides full protection.
During the Event
Q: What does the lifeguard bring?
A: Each guard arrives in uniform with a rescue tube, CPR mask, whistle, and required paperwork. Some guards also carry a basic first aid kit.
Q: Do guards set up or clean up the pool area?
A: No. Hosts are responsible for setup and cleanup. Our sole duty is safety supervision.
Q: Can guards enforce pool rules?
A: Yes. Guards are trained to politely but firmly enforce rules to prevent unsafe behavior.
Q: What happens if swimmers ignore the guard?
A: The guard will give reminders, then notify the host. For ongoing safety risks, guards may suspend pool use until compliance is restored.
Q: Do guards take breaks?
A: Yes. Guards require short breaks every 2–3 hours. For long events, multiple guards are recommended to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
Q: Will lifeguards interact with kids?
A: Yes, while maintaining professionalism and focus on safety. Many guards are experienced in making children feel comfortable in the water.
Emergencies
Q: What happens if someone has an accident?
A: Our guards respond immediately, perform rescues, administer CPR/First Aid, and coordinate with EMS/911 if needed.
Q: Do guards call 911?
A: Yes. Guards contact emergency services at once in life-threatening situations.
Q: What if multiple emergencies occur at once?
A: This is why we strongly recommend multiple guards at large or high-risk events. One guard cannot safely manage multiple emergencies simultaneously.
Weather & Special Events
Q: What happens if weather cancels my event?
A: Bookings may be rescheduled or refunded under our Refund Policy. Lightning, flooding, or unsafe conditions may require suspension of services for guest safety.
Q: Do you work indoors or at night?
A: Yes, as long as the pool has adequate lighting and visibility.
Q: Do you work at lakes, beaches, or waterparks?
A: No. We focus on controlled aquatic environments like pools, spas, and small splash areas.
Q: Do you allow alcohol at events?
A: Yes, but we require additional guards for alcohol-friendly parties to reduce risk.
Q: Do you work with special-needs swimmers?
A: Yes. Please let us know in advance so we can staff appropriately. Our guards are trained to supervise swimmers of all abilities.
Contracts & Recurring Services
Q: Do you offer contracts for HOAs, hotels, or apartments?
A: Yes. We provide seasonal or long-term staffing for communities and facilities.
Q: Can I request a quote for a corporate or HOA contract?
A: Yes. Contact info@eventguardpro.com for custom proposals.
