EventGuard Pro is committed to keeping swimmers of all ages safe. Whether at a backyard pool, community pool, spa, or special aquatic event, the following rules must be followed at all times.
1. General Safety Rules (Apply Everywhere)
-
No swimming without adult supervision. A responsible adult or lifeguard must be present.
-
Follow lifeguard instructions immediately. Guards are trained to prevent accidents.
-
No running, pushing, or horseplay near the water. Slippery decks lead to serious injuries.
-
No diving in shallow water. Enter feet-first unless the area is designated for diving.
-
No glass containers near pools or spas. Broken glass cannot be safely cleaned from pool water.
-
Stay hydrated and rest often. Swimming while tired or overheated increases risk.
-
Keep emergency exits clear. Driveways, gates, and pool entries must always remain accessible.
2. Private / Backyard Pools
-
Children under 14 years old must be supervised at all times, even if they are strong swimmers.
-
Ensure the pool area is fenced, gated, and locked when not in use.
-
Remove toys and floats from the water when not swimming, they attract unsupervised kids.
-
Hosts must provide shade, drinking water, and rest breaks for swimmers.
-
Designate a “Water Watcher” if no lifeguard is present, an adult whose only job is to watch swimmers.
3. Community & HOA Pools
-
Obey posted pool rules. These may include hours, attire, and capacity limits.
-
Children under 12 years old should not swim without an adult present.
-
Lifeguards on duty are not babysitters, parents/guardians remain responsible for their children.
-
Report damaged equipment (ladders, drains, covers) to management immediately.
-
Glass, alcohol, or unauthorized parties are prohibited unless permitted by HOA.
-
Do not prop gates open, access control is essential for safety.
4. Open Water Pools (Lakes, Reservoirs, Natural Swimming Areas)*
(EventGuard Pro does not currently staff open water events, but these rules apply if you swim at one.)
-
Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket when swimming outside a pool.
-
Swim only in designated areas with posted markers or buoys.
-
Never swim alone or at night, open water conditions can change quickly.
-
Beware of strong currents, underwater hazards, and sudden drop-offs.
-
Alcohol and open water swimming never mix.
We plan to staff open water events In 2026.
5. Spas & Hot Tubs
-
Children under 5 years old should not use hot tubs.
-
Limit use to 15 minutes to avoid overheating.
-
Pregnant women and individuals with heart conditions should consult a doctor before use.
-
Keep water temperature below 104°F (40°C).
-
Never submerge your head or swim underwater in a hot tub, entrapment hazards exist.

Keep a phone nearby to dial 911 in case of emergency.
-
